As a Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH) I bring over 10 years experience as a consultant in the construction industry. 

 

I bring a fresh approach to Health & Safety and as a real team player I enjoy interacting with the various stakeholders involved in a project. I endeavour to bring a positive contribution to discussions and I firmly believe in encouraging practical CDM solutions both for design and construction phases over bureaucratic tick box exercises. The CHASE Consulting team are Client focused and share core personal values which make this an enjoyable team to be part of and provides the motivation to deliver a quality service.

With a background in cost management in a large corporate organisation I soon made the switch to Health & Safety which gave me the opportunity to split my time between office based and on site tasks. In the main, I fulfilled the role of the CDM Consultant on numerous projects including new build and refurbishments including listed buildings.

Over the years I have developed my skills, knowledge and experience by working closely with clients to help them understand and adhere to the requirements of the Construction Design & Management Regulations and have undertaken various roles for Clients including CDM Co-ordinator, Principal Designer and CDM Adviser. With extensive experience in the education and science & research sectors around the South & South West I have developed my skills with projects working to tight budgets and programmes whilst impressing on the buildability, usability and maintainability Health & Safety aspects of design.

Having obtained the NEBOSH Construction Certificate and undertaken the NEBOSH Diploma, I am now a Certified Member of the Association of Project Safety (CMaPS) and a Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (CMIOSH). My skills extend to site inspections, compliance audits, Health & Safety Management systems as well as specialising in CDM.

Recent Key Experience:

Having completed a 5 year secondment on the University of Bristol's Enhanced Health & Safety/CDM Framework I now also provide these services to other Client’s such as Cardiff University and Bristol Airport. I joined CHASE Consulting to compliment the provision of H&S/CDM services to our existing clients as well as further develop our clientele database and take an active role in marketing the business.
